To those who read it I pray that you would find this posting in God's timing and pray with me for the upcoming week.
I have been asked to open up the upcoming Bibb county associational "revival" this next Sunday evening and I have a great desire to see God bring about true revival in our area. I often take a staunch stand on the word revival in our modern day culture due to the rampant abuse and misuse of the word and its meaning. However, that does not remove the fact that the word "revival" does indeed exist and is indeed biblical.
Lord, I pray that you would use me and prepare me throughout the upcoming week. That through words of biblical prophecy, You would by way of Your Holy Spirit fall on our area like we have never seen. That the word of God that is preached would be as hot as the flaming tongues of Acts and that the prayers of the saints would be as fervent as in the days of the Great Awakening.
Lord, let Your word reign supreme in the hearts of those in the church and let us purge ourselves and prep our sails for the magnificent wind of Your Holy Spirit. Let us sail on His breath and be tossed about by His storm so that when the waves settle we can say that we have surely been in the presence of God.
Lord use us.
"O Lord, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O Lord, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy." Habakkuk 3:2
