Why do you attend a church fellowship on Sunday's? Support your answer with scripture.

I think a better ? would be:

Why do you go to a fellowship on Sunday? And then,

Do your reasons line up with scripture?

Are you asking why on Sunday, or why I go whether it was scheduled on any day?

I am asking everyone who is a reader of grafted in.... Why do you go at all?

Sunday is the Lord's day, that is a given.... Why do you personally attend?

Why I go to a church fellowship on Sunday.
I have to confess that Sunday doesn't seem to be the dominant factor in the decision, but here is at least one reason.
2 Corinthians 5:21-
God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
I want to glorify God. I want to learn about God. I want to sing about God. And I am lifted up when I am around His people. And now that I look at it, it seems very 'self-serving'.

Cool.... I heard a discussion on reasons people DO NOT attend local fellowships and though it would be interesting to hear our own state why we do go.

Hebrews10;24&25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and gooddeeds not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as see the day approaching. WE come to church for protection a sheep out of the flock is easy prey. we come to worship,it does not matter what mountain you worship on when you worship the FATHER in SPIRIT and TRUTH. We come to evangelism, fellowship,& displeship.

Another thing. I enjoy church. Yes, I said church. Church, church, church, church, church, church, church! I know the term has been grossly misused over the years, and I know that walls do not make the bride of Christ. But that's what it's called. Walls don't make a home, but where do you go when you get off work? You go home. Does that mean you scored a run in baseball. No. It means you went to a place where you are welcome. A place where you are loved. A place where you WANT TO BE~!!!!! Hi. My name is Jason, and I go to church.

My first comment meant anyone can come up with an answer that sounds scriptural, but that doesn't mean its truly why they come. So, search yourselves and see what your true motives are. That was my immediate thought...I can write all these nice sounding scriptural answers, but really, why do we go to a church gathering?

I go to church (ekklesia "gathering" or "selection" or "called out assembly") that happens to meet inside four walls (well really more than four), I've also been to church (see former correct biblical definition) outside. That didn't make the ground we were standing on a church.

And to be honest there are tons of reasons I go to a church fellowship, alot of them not always biblical ones.

I don't mind people saying they go to church as long as they understand it isn't a building thats a church (biblically speaking) and don't lead others to believe that falsity.
